Project Approvals

We can assist with all aspects of environmental approvals needed to get your project up and running.

We have extensive experience in the development of Mining Proposals and Mine Closure Plans, required by the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety for your mining project. Ecotec can manage this process for you, including liaising with  the Department on your behalf.

Depending on the scale and activities of your project, a Works Approval and subsequent licensing may be required. We can develop the documentation and manage the entire process for you. 

A Native Vegetation Clearing Permit is required in most instances where clearing of vegetation is to be undertaken for a project. Ecotec will manage this process for you, including any biological surveys needed to obtain the required information.

An Environmental Management System is now a requirement for most projects. We will put together a "fit for purpose" EMS, including development of environmental management plans and procedures that will meet your projects' needs.

Ecotec can plan and establish programs to enable monitoring of the impacts of a project on the surrounding environment. We manage ongoing monitoring programs for threatened species at a number of sites in Western Australia. We also conduct monitoring of rehabilitated areas to gauge progress toward achievement of closure criteria.
